Here Comes Your Welcome to the Weekend

Hi everyone. At the end of every week, there’s always Friday. On Friday, there is always a Welcome To The Weekend. Today at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2 PM Eastern, it will be my pleasure to close out another busy week with 2 hours of feel good music and friendly banter, to set you up for the Weekend ahead. No matter what your plans are, where you are in the world and where ever you hear the show, you are most welcome.

Along with a large stack of upbeat music, our regular features will be on show for you to enjoy.
• Kick-Start. This opening track is the pace setter for the weekend. To open we hear from a band formed in Liverpool in the UK in 1983, and had their biggest hit in 1990.
• Double-Take. At the bottom of the first hour, we play two tracks by the one artist along with a little bio on the artist in question. This weekend our featured artist is Chic. A band who still continue to tour and play large festivals.
• The Irish Connection. Exactly 1 hour later I play two tracks by two different Irish artists. First off, a track from a guy who formed a band and launched a music career as a result of Busking, and a gentleman who was popular as part of a band in the 1970s, and as a solo artist in the 1980s.
• The One That Got Away. This feature is dedicated to a track that is not often heard on the Radio. We’ll hear a track released in 1983, that came to mind as a result of an event that happened involving our 2 lovely children. Tune in to find out.

There is always plenty of room for your requests and banter, and I’d love to hear from you before or during the show if you’d like to get in touch. You can:
