Doesn't Time Fly

Hi everyone. They say doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun! While yesterday may have been the slowest day for me in work ever, it seems no length since I bounced onto the airwaves last weekend.

The good news is, that it’s Friday and I’m back with you again today at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2 PM Eastern to welcome you to the weekend. That means 2 hours of fantastic feel good music, mixed with the finest in friendly banter to wipe away your busy week and set you up for the weekend. Two days where time just doesn’t matter, and you are free to do whatever it is you want. Oh bring it on.

Along with all this wonderful music for you to enjoy, our four regular features are here too.
• Kick-Start. This opening tracks sets the pace for the weekend ahead, and gets us off on the right road. This weekend we begin with a tune released in 1977, which is loaded with goodness and will leave you feeling on top of the world.
• Double-Take. At the bottom of the first hour, we play two tracks by the one artist along with a little bio on the artist in question. This time, we hear 2 tracks from a Danish band called Alphabeat, one of which is very appropriate to the weather we’ve been having over the last week.
• The Irish Connection. Exactly 1 hour later I play two tracks by two different Irish artists. It’s Eurovision weekend, so we hear 2 tracks that represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in the noughties and 90s and we hear the last participant that won the Contest for Ireland.
• The One That Got Away. This feature is dedicated to a track that is not often heard on the Radio. Today we hear a track from an album that was released the year yours truly was born, from the talented Mr David Bowie.

There is and will always be plenty of room for your requests, if you’d like to hear a particular tune that will give you that weekend feeling, or suggest anything for our regular features for a future show, I’d love to hear from you. You can:
